In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at strengthening ties and enhancing the recognition of qualifications across Southern Africa, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from Qualifications Frameworks across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) convened for an exclusive CEO brunch at the SAQA House on 11th May 2024. This seminal event was designed to provide a platform for Qualification Framework leaders to network informally while engaging in peer exchange and learning, all in the name of academic and skills mobility within the region.
By bringing together influential figures from regulatory bodies from eSwatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Zambia, Seychelles, and South Africa, the gathering aimed to lay the groundwork for a SADC Qualifications system leadership network that supports each other in the collective effort to ensure academic integrity and credible skills mobility. This event not only symbolised a commitment to innovative solutions to elevating regional educational standards but also marked a critical step
towards achieving greater integration and cooperation in a region rich with diverse academic landscapes and opportunities.
